Angry Birds Rio High Dive Feather Bonus Walkthrough Level 1

This is our walkthrough video for Angry Birds Rio High Dive Feather Bonus Level #1. The level is unlocked by earning 7 feathers with Mighty Eagle in High Dive. One strategy is to fling the Yellow bird into the large black rubber bumper above the level. The bird should be pushed back to the left, triggering all detonation cords. @Sparty reported having the dolphins freed. I got a pop-up for a sling scope, and unlike every other time, I actually got 30 points. Also got a 1-birder for 150K. Don’t know if they are related. No dolphins freed though.

@jomasa @dawn — Congrats on your high scores! By doing what appears to be the same thing over and over again, I have managed to claw my way to 158K. I can’t figure out what makes the balls take out the left 3 dolphins. I can see that having some self-destruction might help. Any clues / tips on how you got your high scores.
BTW, I have now seen the pop-up for sling scope several times and gotten 0 pts about half the time, and 30 or 40 the rest. Haven’t had any dolphins freed yet.

Thank you @mvnla2! Just like you, I tried this level over and over with no luck for quite some time untill suddenly the top stone-ball cleared the top, entered the right hand wall bumpers and smashed staight into the left structure, then getting all dolphins trapped within! Pure luck:). So keep flinging….

To answer @mvnla2 question for clues or tips………..
I think the secret might be to get the left sidewall bomb balls to bounce back off right wall to free the left side dolphins.

Try to hit the fuses at top when the bird is going IN to hit the very top bounce wall. This will give have these top bomb balls few more extra seconds of destruction time to clear the right side of structure before the left balls are release. If the right side is clear, the bomb balls on left (triggered later) should shot out, bounce off the far right inside wall and (hopefully) come back to free the dolphins stacked up on the left.

You need to hit everything just right, with the top bomb balls falling early to destroy the right structure and clear debris out if the way. Also sometimes the right bomb balls don’t have enough energy to bounce completely back or hits the wall at different angles and/or just not ricocheting back to the left dolphins…. Just keep trying and you will get the right combo. Part skill and part luck. ….To my surprise, I scored 164k for current 3rd place (for now).

Don’t give up on first bird……. If you have over 100k with first bird and the left side dophins are not freed, one can still score 150-155k (or more) with two birds, this will still place in top 100 (currently) on leaderboard..

Send second bird down to bounce off the tires? (or bouncy things) at the bottom left. Excel to hit the third or last bouncy thing (tire?) for it to ricochet up to hopefully free the left side dolphins. Takes some practice to get this shot through the water.
Good luck and Happy flinging.

@e-star, thanks for the video. Problem is, that compared with the video’s were familiar with – to give three stars, your video’s tend to reach highscore. I love them, would say again thank you.

I have been trying for some time to get an above average score with no success. Then I figured out something that I haven’t seen mentioned here, so I thought I’d share. The first shot is like the video, but it is vitally important that, when you drop the stone that is above and just a bit to the right of the dreaded left tower, it is swinging towards that tower. You just have to get your timing and aim points and you can get that tower down about every time. GL

This is indeed a VERY good trick. My best score is still with 2 birds (154 930), but I managed to destroy the left tower many times with this tip. Just no luck with the complete collapse yet!

Took quite a few tries but I finally got lucky and one of the cement balls on the left to go all the way to the right, hit the tire wall, and come back all the way over to the left to take out the dolphins on that side.
