Angry Birds Rio Golden Beachball Walkthrough Level #7

The best strategy for Golden Beachball level 7 is to lob the first Black bird through the top of the second quarter-circle. The explosion should clear an open path for the White bird. Launch it towards the middle of the level, dropping the bomb so that the bird ricochets through the small sand blocks supporting the top marmoset. If necessary, bomb the central structure to pop the marmoset protected there. The score in the video below is 111,730.

Bird 1: Lands in the same place as the video, but we get there by shooting it in a low arc and aiming for the 2nd or 3rd stone block from the bottom of the 2nd Stone arch on the left. Put another way… aim the black bomb bird at or below the marmoset sitting at a 45 degree angle on the outside of the structure. The goal is to use a low arc to maintain rightward momentum and have the bomb land on, or partway in, the open square stone block located above and slightly to the right of the low, left marmoset sitting in the chair (don’t let the bomb take his place and fall into the chair as this will not cause total destruction). See the screenshot detailing the 1st bird’s approximate trajectory by clicking on SCREENSHOT 1, below.

click here for a SCREENSHOT depicting my intended Trajectory for Bomb Bird 1

Bird 2: you should now have anywhere between 85,000 and 92,000 points and only one marmoset left to deal with (the one on the top). Click on SCREENSHOT 2, below, to see what the level should look like at this point.

click here for a second SCREENSHOT depicting the devastation from Bomb Bird 1
–>Note that the preceding picture was photoshop-ed in order to enhance the (white) trajectory of Bomb Bird 1, which was hard to see against the white cloud in the background. No changes to the photo were made other than color/contrast/lighting enhancements for the sole purpose of making the trajectory easier to see. [Oh my Gosh! I am turning into @joe from Summer Pignic!]

Anyway, shoot Bird 2 in a relatively high arc… your goal is to drop the egg where it will do some nice damage, but more importantly, you want the mama bird to shoot upward to take out as many sand blocks under the last marmoset as possible. Your purpose here is to kill the last Marmoset an cause as much damage as possible. Since each sand block and each stone block are worth 500 points each and there are almost 30 of them, you could theoretically get 15,000 more points, plus the 5,000 points for the marmoset, 10,000 for the unused 3rd bird, and 500 per block broken by the egg and mama’s fall, scores in the 140s should be possible.

At startup of the level one of the block fell on the other one. Hit the bomb exactly on those block to land on top of the hollow square. If things explode well, the bottom structure is pushed to the far right (93K-95k). Second bird in the sweet spot under the dome (hard to described where somewhere close to the middle). If done well the dome kind of spread apart throwing stones around. Previously I had 133k with 3 birds (missed the second shot) so more points to get I bet.

This is surprisingly difficult to achieve but it’s actually possible. The combination of two perfect shots seems to be fairly challenging. That’s why I could only improve my score by ~5k until now (132k with 2 birds) but really bad 1st shot…

U can still get the first bird to land in the same spot. Just look at the first screenshot in my post, above.

The “falling” block didn’t really fall, as in collapsing part of the structure. It was just one block that slid down a bit. You can still get the black bird to land on the correct spot (the open square block). Without putting words in @manu’s mouth, i believe he only referenced The falling block was as a means to describe where to aim; it was never a means to collect points through some sort of collapse of the structure.

Again, the screenshot I posted shows almost the precise trajectory that Manu used and should work because it hits what manu referred to as the “falling” block.

I found landing the bomb directly on the chair (I know loox recommended against this) would more reliably topple everything, gaining 80-85k. The second shot, finding the sweet spot to bring the upper arch down, is tough, I missed it more often than not. Ultimately my score came from using 3 birds.

@gypsybird the top score raised my eyebrows too, there is a screenshot but no strategy provided, & frankly I find the claim of comsistently scoring 135k+ a bit hard to swallow. But I scored 144k with 2 birds & debris remaining, so I believe it is possible, though I’d still like to hear more details.
I stuck with the method I was using before, aimimg to land on the chair the lower left marmoset sits on, I found this more likely to take down the whole structure. The higher points on this shot come from getting as much stone as possible to tumble down off the right side, I had 94k after the 1st shot.
Finding the right spot with the 2nd shot to completely bring down the top is really tough, I send the white bird in high, activating just under the bortom left of the top arch. I can’t nail down the exact spot though, I rarely get it to work. But the whole thing came down & even more stone fell off the right side.
I know I got really lucky, I haven’t come close to repeating it, though I’ve managed a few scores of 130-135k in a couple of hours of flinging. Good luck! :)

@karen68 I used relatively the same first shot. My goal is to get the lowest right stone of the top arch to go. The whole method is to get the structure to rock to the right AND clear the left arch for shot two. I send the WB LOW so that it can detonate to the left of the level and have a long curving arc underneath the top arch. One you figure out the drop point it can become repeatable.
I also was trying the previous method of a high lob with bird one and can see how such high scores were easier. I managed to somewhat recreate what I think happened as the bomb bird can get to the bottom of the structure in the middle this way but I found the second shot harder this way as well now too.

@swelld I kept trying the low shot with the white bird to drop the arch, hoping to get more destruction on the left side as there’s usually a fair bit of stone remaining, but I’ll readily admit I am lousy at judging the ricochet angles of our friend the white bird.
Were you trying to lob the black bird into the centre by the bottom middle marmoset? I was playing around with that shot but had trouble getting it in just the right spot.

I agree with that @karen68! Yes, consistently getting 135k+ is rather mythical. LOL. I so see possibilities here, and that you have gotten 144k confirms it then. It takes a LOT of continual flinging to finally hit the right spots for good destruction of the cement blocks – so of those wooden boxes also have to be destroyed to get more points. At least the boxes on the right side. That was how I finally got the 127k. I’ll keep flinging to the brick box above that lower marmoset. I get a bit bored on some of these levels unless I finally get some movement in my previous score though. Some of our Nesters, most certainly you, are absolute Masters in solving the mazes created by Rovio and finding the ‘weak’ link to generate mass mayhem in the structures. I have had a few good moments though. I tend to do better on AB Space and AB SW but I have really loved the RIO worlds/levels so it will keep me coming back to do better.

Hopefully, @novojit will get the messages and be sweet enough to come share how he got the near 150k score. Would provide credence as to which strategy to focus more on for those of us working to improve.
