Angry Birds Rio Golden Beachball Walkthrough Level #21

Our strategy for Golden Beachball level 21 is to loft a Blue bird into the TNT in the middle of the level. Keep the White bird rather low, bombing between the remaining marmosets to clear out. The score in the video below is 86,840.

If you have a different strategy feel free to leave a comment below; however, don't just post your score via the comments, as that's what the leaderboards are for.

I agree….So far, this is the hardest. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. I managed Top Score in the previous level & I can’t get an above average score here. I’ve had 1 marmoset standing after 2 birds which would have given me at least 90k had it been killed by 2nd bird. My current 87730 was as shown in video. The 1st shot can vary by about 12k & on Android phone the 2nd shot is problematic, at least for me.

I did just get a 1-birder & breathed a sigh of relief, but alas it was premature since it was only 86530. I’m sure I’m not the only one who would like to hear from those currenty in the Top 25 or so who’ve managed 91k or more.

UREAKA !!! Not the best above average score, but for now 88980 with 3 birds no less. First & 2nd shots as shown, however after the 1st shot, 3 marmosets remained…the 2 on video & the 1 just to the right of the one on stone piece. I’d been here many times before & for me, this WB on Android phone is troublesome, regardless of ABO, ABS, or ABR. Fortunately, this time not only did I take out the last marmoset, but even with only 10k in bonus bird, the score beat the average.

I’ve come close to an almost 92k +/- many times & on my device it’s seems using about a 1/2 – 3/4 strength shot for WB results in potentially higher scores…I’m just missing the right shooting spot, but not because of the strength…it’s my aim :-(

I am using a shoot the moon shot with. the first bird (aim almost straight up, tapping soon). One bird to ignite the TNT, one somewhere in the middle, and one to hopefully take out the left side. Only 90k so far…

You are definitely on the right track @bonneypattycat ;-) I was doing it like the video for mediocre scores and read your strat and improved immediately! After getting above average with your technique, I’m now up to 93060 ;-) I sent the first bird pretty straight up and slightly to the right, about at 1 o’clock and split pretty soon…about a second. It’s actually the bottom bird of the split that ignites the tnt and it seems it has to hit it dead on or it doesn’t always explode. This took care of all but the left to marmosets. I had some good damage to the right structure and the half circle ended up going right off the edge.
Then WB a bit soft and low, aiming for in between the marmosets and dropped egg right before contact. Got good damage here too! Thanks a bunch for the great idea with the first bird ;-)))

Wowsers! I was replaying this level when I was writing the above post so that I could better describe my first bird’s trajectory and got a really good first birdie shot that went just as I described above for about 59K points ( I think). Before it was about 49K after the first bird. Then I sent WB in just as I described above and at first I thought it was going to be around 94K+ but the score just kept totaling up as more and more debris counted where it finally stopped at 99860!!! I couldn’t believe it! Unfortunately I didn’t get to capture it in time, so I played again to get a screenshot showing the trajectory I use for the first bird:

http://angrybir.de/13PDc8M

It also shows the 99860 score at top right…this one had 49960 after the first bird and finished with 93340 ;-)

Yippie!!! Thank you again bonneypattycat ;-D I will enjoy it while it last as this level was pretty tricky at first to get a good score!

97200 using 3 birds.

First just above horizontal, split early to take out the first marmoset and, more importantly, the arch above it to make way for the WB.

WB same elevation (I actually aim along the middle line of the three blue), and take out most of what’s left on the right hand side. If you get some of the support of the main structure, that’s bonus.

Blue over main structure and into TNT, which hopefully takes out the rightmost marmoset and also pushes the main structure to the left, turning it over and into rubble.

I’ve never managed the shoot-the-moon shot with the first bird on this level, so I decided to try something else. It worked very nicely as well.

I struggled with the high shot for a long time before switching to this way of destroying things from left to right. With the 1st shot moving the arch out of the way I was able to get the white bird fairly low to bomb the edge of the horizontal stone plank that the right end of the arch sits on, & got some partial destruction of the main structure as well.
Then sent the blue bird over to the TNT so the lower one detonated the TNT & the upper 2 hit the right arch. It fell off the platform to the right. It still took a whole lot of tries to crack 100k.

I can’t believe nobody’s posted this strat. Neither of the ones above worked for me in over 100 attempts each. So I made up a new one and it’s gotten me ~89k repeatedly. It may not be a high scorer, but it’s a reliable and relatively easy 3-star method.

1. blue bird needs to break through the bottom left vertical wood beam on the first structure (the thick one beneath the two little blocks and the stone slab). Aim dead center and split right before you hit it and it’ll break. This ideally makes the arch roll left and fracture a bit. Worst case, it still drops the arch down, making room for the WB.

2. WB into the spot just below and left of the 2nd marmoset. Aim for the intersection of the horizontal stone plank and vertical stone support. Drop egg as late as possible, ricocheting into the 2nd marmoset and structure to his right. This should also nuke the next 3 marmosets and damage the two arches and surrounding structure.

3. BB in a lazy arc to the TNT. Ideally, you want to overshoot it a bit so when you split, the leftmost bird hits the tnt and the other two plow into the third arch. That plus the tnt should wipe out the marmoset and knock the arch off the platform for extra damage.

The arches seem to be the key. If these remain intact, 3-star points aren’t gonna happen
