Our strategy for Carnival Upheaval level 8-1 is to fire the first Yellow bird into the small horizontal stone block in front of the slingshot. This will force it into the gap to its right, and level everything except the two towers on the right. Fire the next Yellow bird head-on into the middle tower, causing the remaining structure to fall. The score in the video below is 96,060.

I’ve done that too, then never able to recreate the same shot. Very frustrating!
94920 and 2 stars so prob 95000 for 3. Got 99,920 using video method.
100130 easier if you shoot the far bird first. Start at about 45 degrees and tap screen right before hitting second feather. Should get over 40 k on first bird. Second bird in same location as first bird in video.

Yeah! This is definitely the way to go. Couldn’t get past 100K with the video but this way I was able to get 113,860 within just a few tries! I love this website. :) Angry bird fans just helping out angry bird fans!!!

Thanks dougwo! This level had me stuck below 100k for ever :(. This is definitely the easiest method to achieve greater than 100K.

a)aim high with 0-5 degree and accelerate immediately to shot high and far then break pig baloom, –> into the side of left tower to make screen right all destroyed.(45k)
b)2nd birds hit the front concrete with left tower to make left screen all broken.
one bird left +10000 = 112300
if you are lucky….113 – 115 k is possible if more wood, concrete destroyed !!

Returned to this to improve my score a bit, and gave this a try. After several attempts, success! 114,620.
@misterparon video is very helpful. You need to shot almost straight up in the air and boost just as it leaves the slingshot. Figuring out the timing is the tricky part. The first shot reminds me of the first shot I use in Summer Pignic 1-15.
It’s possible to do with 1 bird:
I tried AMG LEON’s strategy. When I launched the bird too high (0 degrees I guess, and accelerate immediately), it landed at the rightmost blue feather. Everything got cleared for 110.990.
I found it easier to take out the right side first, like dougwo mentions. High arch and tap before coming down thru middle blue feather, then second bird like first bird in video which is at the small concrete square at left of first tower.

Yeah..it’s a tough one @kathy..Just keep trying…you will get it ;-)Really it’s just a matter of getting extra “debris” points and getting them with two birds.
