Angry Birds Rio Carnival Upheaval Walkthrough Level 14 (7-14)

Carnival Upheaval level 7-14 is pretty challenging. Our strategy is to launch Blu head-on into the two balloons in front of the slingshot. With these cleared, fire the first White bird between the first two groupings of feathers, ricocheting the bird to clear the top of the structure. With a similar shot, bomb the bottom-left stones of the main structure. Fire the Yellow bird through the wood into the final marmosets. The score in the video below is 73,190.

If you have a different strategy feel free to leave a comment below; however, don't just post your score via the comments, as that's what the leaderboards are for.

Minor variation gives a score of 75950.
aim the blue bird at the gap between the two ballons – if you get it right the green ballon hooks the bottom feathers and pulls the concrete over taking out the bottom 2 monkeys. After that use the two white birds to bomb the bottom (carcus hits the top for the first one and then bomb out the remaining concrete.

86460. Shame on FujiToast. Don’t waste Blue on your first shot, especially on those dumb balloons.(Heh, JK, FujiToast!) The real obstacle to a two-bird clearer on this one is the placement of horizontal feathers everywhere. So aim that first bird above the guardian balloons, at a point midway up the staircase, and avoid the feathers for a direct hit on the wooden structure’s sweet spot. After the debris settled, i noticed that Blue netted more than 49000 points, leaving only two marmosets: the one on ground (left) and the lower right clown. A high-arc second fling aimed at midpoint between the marmosets finished it. Please read: FujiToast and the entire flock at ABN deserve nothing but praise and respect for the priceless yet unpretentious community they’ve created. Rather than rest on their laurels, this group continues to listen to us Nesters and make improvements to an already superb resource for the millions of AB addicts. Aloha.

84,390. I can get the 2-bird clear, but can’t even come close to 49k with blue. My high there is about 37k

I HATE this level! I’ve tried every single strat mentioned here to improve upon my 82K score with no luck. Then hit a one in a million shot using surfcow’s method and cleared 56,260 with 1st bird. Then completely bungled the second shot: tried to do a high arc and drop the egg at the base of the leaning concrete pole (see photo below) and did almost no damage! (I think I only removed the feathers amazingly). Then it occurred to me to high arc the third (white) bird and just let it fall on the monkey without firing the egg…bull’s eye!

So if you happen to get a similar first bird clear, just use the bloated second bird — had I done that with mine, I’d clear 90K+

Actually, I got 86680 with two birds by “wasting” Blu in that way. He usually doesn’t pop the rightmost green balloon, and I noticed he could whip it around quite a lot, often destroying the bottom step with it. I then had both Whites bomb the structure and ricochet to the top marmosets. A lucky collapse took out the remaining marmoset.

i got 3 stars but can’t hit the labelled box for the mango. Frustrating! Any help on that?

This is a fun shot and it actually works! The green balloon acts like a whip that collapses the first two concrete blocks taking out the first two marmosets as fbirder said. Most of the time the green balloon will pop leaving a nice clear path ahead. The problem is that I haven’t figured out how to take advantage of this yet…I hope someone will.

Hi there!
Just a note on the min 3 star score for this level- I have 70800 and only two stars so it might possibly be 71000 needed for three stars! I’m running on an Android device if that makes any difference :)

@ohforfive, Hi, long time no see, I’ve been experimenting with Blu by launching him in a very high and tight arc, I almost got a 1-Birder when he landed on the third marmoset counting from the bottom left up. He literally brought down almost everything except 1 marmoset deep in the center, unfortunately I fudged up the second shot so I had to use the third bird to finish and that gave me a 10000 point bonus, otherwise the score would have been in the mid 90’s. Good Luck and Happy Hunting old friend.

Shoot blu just over the balloons so it hits the big monkey. The whole top of the structure should come down. Use the white and yellow birds as nessesary.

Here is a pretty reliable new two bird strat. I sent bb in a very high arch to come straight down and land directly on top of middle big monkey, this causes the whole top structure to go and falling debris took out first two bottom monkeys, it took out every monkey except the one on the bottom middle right which is easily taken out with your second bird…either by using the same exact trajectory used with first bird or you can send him in just over the baloons…either way it is pretty easy to take out this last monkey with your wb.

Fire bb just over the feathers in the middle. u want collision where the front monkey gets killed and no feathers are blocking. 2nd shot high arc (higher than you might think) drop egg in front (or middle if you have better postion) and follow through to kill the rest. I’ve seen a possible 98k with the last monkey sitting with a piece of wood on his head. GL :)

@crivit nice strat, thank you! I found this the best way although it tends to rely on what Blu decides to give you on the 1st shot. You have to go really low over the feathers to hit the big marmoset just right, I cleared out the entire bottom & had only the right marmoset in the low row of 3 left.
To line up the 1st shot (zoomed out) I put Blu’s tail just peeking out over the top of the white bird’s head next in line. The 2nd one is a really high lob, with about half of the white bird’s body covering the slingshot. The feathers really like to get in the way though, you have to hope for a clear shot.

Are you tired of that bottom left marmoset? I sure was. Also, whatever was left after the first shot with the methods from @crivit @lesleyg @werewolf69 and @surfcow that second shot always seemed pretty tough. Try pulling back the blue bird so that his tail almost touches the white bird (next in line) just below the left eye. (I am trying to avoid saying the dreaded half power shot) Blue should land just above the second marmoset. As with the other shots, destruction is variable, but at least the bottom beastie is gone and I think the second shot is usually an easier one. I found that a high second shot often works well.

Profile photo of WereWolf69Rank: Flinger with 35 points
By WereWolf69 (@werewolf69)Score: 89,980

@stocktoad, I actually found that both shots were tough doing it my way, but I was consistently scoring 89k+ with those 2 shots.

The key in the first shot is to aim Blue at a very high arc so he lands to the right of the lower big marmoset hitting the lower wood frame junction, in 1 of every 10 or so shots, every marmoset except the deep center one buys a one-way ticket.

The second shot must also be a high arc to land as close as possible to the remaining marmoset, and sometimes the bloated bird technique works better than laying the egg.

I tried crivit’s way, but it never yielded the same initial result as mine did, I believe that the very high scores are just lucky flukes, unfortunately, I was unable to get one of those. Happy Hunting old friend.
