Angry Birds Rio Airfield Chase Walkthrough Level 22 (10-7)

Our strategy for Airfield Chase level 10-7 is to loft the Yellow bird through the first vertical support of the main structure. The key is breaking the cage buried amongst the wire blocks with the first shot. Fire Big Brother into the bottom-left corner of the tower, bringing the whole thing down. Fire the next Big Brother into the front of the wooden plane, taking out both cages. Last, lob the Yellow bird to reach the cage at the rear of the plane. The score in the video below is 88,860.

This driving me nuts. I got 100k but can’t get over 95k again for the life of me. Certainly the method in the video won’t do it. Will someone with a high score please share?

First Yellow Bird to take the first Structure, should give you 30-35k. Red Bird with high arc between the Red and the purple Bird ob the platform. This is the hard one because you have to take all the birds in this area. Next Red Bird little below the Gas can, thats it. Sometimes i try shoot a yellow Bird to destroy some Frames in the middle. Got me 109k

First bird can give on the upward of 38k. There is a shot through the oil barrel that will break the platform and detonate the gas canister. After shooting third bird even if all cage are broken shoot the fourth one to clear the remaing metal scafolding in the middle, this ususally give more than 10k improving the score a bit.

This is the basic strat I used to get my highest score of 114690. Basically worked it left to right using four birds. Fist bird low to the platform of first structure causing it to collapse. Second again low at the wooden triangle to roll under first tire. Third almost same trajectory but slightly higher to take out bottom and as much of the scaffolds as possible and the top crumbles leftward. Forth, the last red bird cage which can actually be tricky..you want it to go through the wood because the scaffolding seems to want to stop it in it’s tracks.

Working on improving some Rio scores, and I just followed misterparon’s video for 117k. The third shot was key for me. If the second shot took out the front wheel, then I fired the third shot just slightly higher. On my best score, I got the bottom caged birds and the scaffold box to their right on the third shot. This made that low fourth shot through the long horizontal wood plank at the bottom, between the middle stone square and the rear wheel, much easier!

Slow & steady, patience & perseverance, with lots of luck & video by @misterparon posted by @crivit improved my starting Challenge score of 102440 (Andriod phone) to 104100 & then 113270 switching to iPad.

I’ve always both shot & activated with my right hand, but have started experimenting with launching using my left while activating with my right. For some reason, I don’t know why, I’m getting much more power with a left-hand launch & I’m right handed.

1st shot, immediately boost, the release is just behind the sling & if the stone & wood platform on which the 1st structure sits isn’t destroyed with at least 32k, I’m restating.

2nd shot as described by AngryAdvisor @lesleyg.

3rd just a little higher than 2nd as others described & this time had the most damage I’ve had. The pesky metal/wood piece that the red & purple birds are sitting upon was gone or at least out of the way. After this shot, only a few of the metal boxes & the wooden tail section remained. The entire top structure & supports were gone or destroyed making it so ….. much easier for next shot.

4th pretty much straight ahead.

Thanks all

Throw the 1st YB at low hight and full speed that it could penetrate left structure and destroy gasoline beside it. then throw 2 Big brother with low trajectory and full speed as required.

My current score of 107360 was actually done using all 5 birds.

@crivit ‘s method is very good, and I think it is probably the way to go.

I would just like to suggest a slight amendment for the first shot. There is a sure way to explode the red can and it is by shooting it. With a weapon. The weapon being the bottom platform. Airfield Chase has a famous shot which I call the “platform sideways teleportation” shot.

Shoot at the left corner of the bottom platform , just missing the top of the oil barrel). If done correctly, the wooden section would for a split second move sideways to the right and then be teleported into the land of nothingness. Everything above it collapses, but more importantly, it hits the red can in the process. Good bye red can. I have got to 36k up to now.

I’m torn. I always liked Manu Malin’s first shot into the oil drum. It is hard, but can clear the left side for 34-40k. But I also like @crivit ‘s strategy. What’s a guy to do with competing strategies by two Rio legends? I dunno about you, but I combined those suckers.

My Manucrivit Hybrid Strategy Video 4-birda.

Even though Shots #2 and #4 are easy, this strategy is NOT. All four shots have a tiny sweet spot that you must hit. Even if you do manage this, you also need a lucky platform collapse after shot #3 to make the higher-scoring low approach for Shot #4. In my video, I did not get such a collapse, so I settled for a higher shot, which scores about 4-5k less than the low shot, which should break the wooden plank above the airplane’s bottom right wheel. If you’re lucky enough to hit all four shots, a Top 10 spot will definitely be yours.

Did it similar to @kelani video. Thanks for posting. My big reds did a bit more damage which was probably due to luck. Used the yellow bird to take out the wing and the last bird.
