Angry Birds Poached Eggs 3 Star Walkthrough Level 1-17

A good strategy for Poached Eggs level 1-17 is to take out the two supporting wood planks holding up the structure. This should take it down and you can use one of the remaining yellow birds to mop things up. The score in the video below is 55,500.

In my opinon the only way to get a decent score here is via one birder.
So, if that doesn´t happen, restart. Shoot as shown on video, maybe a bit lower.

Try as I might, I can’t seem to make this strat work for the 1-birder. Nothing seems to cause enough damage with the structure AND take out the pigs. Perhaps if you were able to refine the description of the optimal impact point???

Used two birds to increase the score a bit. Aimed at the bottom left horizontal wood block on top of the grey board.

Obtained a one bird solution, once, by launching the yellow bird on a straight line into the same area. The activation for the yellow bird is upon release from the sling.
Zoom out a little and line up the sling on the stem of the bottom right leaf. This provides a basis for aiming so small adjustments can be made.

Average score which needs improved. The score is dependent of the elimination of the blocks.

The trick is to destroy the wood block under the lower left pig. Then with the rest of the structure falling, it should cause the wood planks surrounding the lower right pig to fall right, taking the pig with it. Have patience and don’t reset too soon until the dust clears. I’ve flung yellow bird almost 100x before I got the present score. So, over 60k is possible with persistence. But for now I’ll settle for what I got and move on.

63050/1 with that for the daily challenge, playing it as follows:
1st) speed up immediately to just clip and destroy (the upper part of) the thick wood block; hope that the right part of the structure falls to the right (often by one of the uprights acting as a lever on top of the bird), pushes debris on the left off the platform and into destruction, and the right part of the structure itself somersaults to the right of the platform into destruction. to that end, i was taking aiming, playing fully zoomed-out on ipad air, by first making one pixel appear in the sling, and then shifting the bird a tiny bit further down until the pixel shifts a bit (to the left), or, said otherwise, until just before two pixels appear. then speeding up immediately frequently (say 1 in 5 to 10) gives a 1-birder, often in the 52k-56k range (e.g. when the right structure does not somersault), but if you’re lucky both the left- and right-hand side collapse nicely like this:

https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/vuelva/album/picture/14650/

to calibrate: the trajectory should go through the centre, or a bit higher, of the upper-left branch of the tree in the background.

after settling for this strategy, got the 63k score quickly, within 20 minutes, along with two 60k+ scores, so good scores seem fairly repeatable; i even think the strat is good enough for a puppy, but i’m off to bed.

Thanks @vuelva to mock a mockingbird. I’d tried to understand @oiklw Sept 2013 post as it was highest scoring, but it wasn’t coming together.

After just a few tries I got a 1-birder with your post, the problem being it was only 54k on iPad & I started this Challenge with 56640 (from score date data it had to be my very 1st Android phone which had an itty bitty screen.) A few more flings later I was up to 57410 & then 59210, also on iPad There’s certainly no puppy tonight for me, but I’m hoping for 60k.

Tips for eagle destruction on Chrome:

– I think the hardest part about this feather is the right placement of the sardine can. Destroying all the wood is easy, but try to land the can on the edge of the left horizontal block of stone. This shot is very challenging but the result will be great. Those struggling, keep trying!

Shoot on the horizontal beam supported by the target beams described in this tutorial: guaranteed one bird shot

By Morph416

Since I’ve had a stock pile of sardine cans in FB.. I decided to go back and see about getting some feathers.

Not sure if this is a bug or not.. but after placing the sardine can anywhere on the ground.. as the eagle is coming in and the screen starts to go dark, sometimes the pigs pop themselves before the eagle gets anywhere near them.

I used about 5 cans to test this.. happened 4 out of the 5.

I had 57,000+ with 2 birds and no debris. And 2 one birders, one of 58,000+ and my present score and there was debris remaining in both cases so higher scores are possible.

So I think anything over 58,000 must be a one birder (or, shame if true, using powerups).

One bird for my 60k. A slight (2k) increase on my previous score which was done with two birds. I fired the YB just above level and accelerated it, about half way in it’s journey, so that it hit the first pig from above. This resulted in a good collapse of the front and top part. It takes a bit of luck but the top piece of wood surrounding the other pig leant right and collapsed pulling the last pig with it. I’ve had this happen a few times now but with rather disappointing scores. So, keep at it!

I’ve always felt that they give you extra power by zooming all the way out. I shot it low and straight and hit the boost just as soon as I could. My first time through, I was just interested in three stars, not higher scores, so I’m going back in to improve in that area. 59,990 after just a couple of tries.

Yes! My second top-100 score, and my first top-50! 1-birder. Launch 1st YB in a gentle arc, accelerate it towards the end of its downward arc, such that it takes out the 2 left hand uprights, the left bottom pig, and the leftmost upright in the center column, but not the horizontal block at lower left. Do this many, many times, on some occasion the falling blocks snag the right-hand structure in a way that causes it to collapse and take out the right-side pig.

(I did it accidentally, as I was trying to follow the steps in the video that describes how to win the level with the 2-bird strategy.) Evidently it can be done with 1 bird. I tapped to activate the first bird just as it struck the vertical wooden posts of the bottom row of pigs. (It was a rather direct strike, not an arched strike.) So It broke straight through all the verticle walls of both cells, which popped both bottom pigs AND it collapsed the upper row, which likewise popped all the upper pigs. VOILA! QUATRE DANS COUPES!!

Hi @rob48, you are quite welcome to enter Classic scores. The reason I don’t is I want retain a pure ABO total as this is what the leading flingers in the ABO list are doing and I am trying to match them on the same terms. A few folk are entering Classic scores so I guess you need to compare yourself to them, or any scores I have posted in a comment but not in the list. Hello everyone, I am back!! After a long months break I decided to return to Angry Birds Classics. I have noticed some of my records have been taken 👀 I feel ready with enough patience to come back to Poached Eggs to take as many as I can back as well as any new ones ;) I am going to go on operation PE-TT+T. That means Poached Eggs 10,000 and 1,000. The 10,000 and 1,000 mean I need to get my score mandatory in that 10,000 marker for example if the score was 53,648 I need to get at least 50,000 or more. On certain levels that are my favorite I need to advance the thousands, so if the score record is 69,738 that means I need to get around 66,000 or more, perhaps record.

Anyways now to explain my strats!

So the key part for the aim is to make sure the slingshot is the lowest it can go to the bottom. Two key objectives, number one, make sure the slingshot is the lowest it can go to the bottom. Number two make sure the slingshot elastic is the closest to the back of the wood of the slingshot. Both need to happen at the same time. Once that is done aim Chuck up high and as soon as Chuck starts looping down, activate his ability and he will go straight down destroying both sections of the wooden tower causing tons of destruction. Note that destroying both sections will take a lot of luck so be patient. Screenshots are down below.
