On Sunday, December 11th Angry Birds turns 2! To celebrate this glorious day — which also happens to be my birthday — Rovio will be releasing a “Happy Birdday” update to the original Angry Birds (notice how it says “Birdday”, not “Birthday”). Per Rovio’s blog, the birthday update will include 15 new birthday cake themed levels and a special birthday achievement. In addition, as a special present ALL episodes will be unlocked and available to play.
This update is out now (read more) and includes some notable changes!
It’s important to note:
- This update will land on iOS on Sunday, with other platforms coming online thereafter. We don’t know how long it will take for Android, PC, Mac, etc. to receive the Happy Birthday update.
- Our post on December 6th titled, “Angry Birds Episode 7 Update Coming Soon” is obviously related to this update.
Rovio’s not stopping there, they have plenty of other real-world birthday events lined up, including:
- Fans in the US can celebrate by heading over to their local Barnes & Noble, which will have special events and giveaways from 11 AM to 3 PM. Angry Birds aficionados can join a scavenger hunt to find the Mighty Eagle or enter a raffle to win special Angry Birds prizes…
- Toys ‘R’ Us is also getting into the “birthday” spirit. Fans can get 25% off Angry Birds plush toys plus a code that unlocks an Angry Birds Google Chrome bonus level.
- For Angry Birds fans in Japan, Rovio CMO and Mighty Eagle Peter Vesterbacka will be giving a special presentation at the Apple store in Ginza…
- The Forbidden Planet stores in the UK will also be celebrating Angry Birds’ second birthday with merchandise previously unavailable in the UK.

Not necessarily. There isn’t much room for achievement points in ABo.
What does it mean when you say not a lot of room left?
GameCenter only allows for 1000 achievement points.
How many points has ABo used so far? Or is this all of AB in total? And wouldn’t skipping the achievement for Orange break the achievement trend? I mean, it’d only be 10pts or so, not that much
If they split the achievements into separate years (i.e. – Ham and Wreck in 2012), would this allow for more room?

The best bet would probably reduce the point values of some achievements or delete some not as important ones

It’s part of GameCenter’s coding. You cannot change point values or delete achievements (which would changing its value to 0) once the achievement has been binary-approved. I don’t think it’s stupid at all. GameCenter is not designed to “undo” anything.

The 2.1.1 update is a stability fix for iPad 1.
All my level are locked in ABS (I have 3 stars on all of them). This problem only started today when I went online and open today new X-mas level. I have already restarted my device and still the same.Would I have go online and It will just fix its self?

Does Level 1 still say 3-stars and display your old score?
Yeah. I checked every episode and they all show my original score and 3 stars but only the 1st level is unlocked.
Then you can proceed as normal. All you have to do is pass each level to regain your previous score. By chance did you try transferring data?

Guys, a few weeks ago someone named Jack posted a “theory” about an extra golden egg in “Trick or Treat” of Angry birds Seasons PC, but everyone checked but said it’s not true. Today I will like to second thetheory and that it is true! Wow. He was right all along!
