Below is our gameplay walkthrough that will help you beat Angry Birds Epic Square Forest Level 3 with 3 stars. By passing Square Forest level 3 you are one step closer to the elusive King Pig’s Castle.

I wanted to leave my strategy for anyone else out there struggling with this level. Even using this strategy 3 times and with health potions I could not beat this level. My wizard kept getting taken out too soon. So I kept the red bird and the blue birds with the same hats seen in this video but swapped the wizard for the black bird with the berserk helmet and beat it on the first try. I did NOT get three stars- I got two, but I do believe you could earn 3 with this setup if you are willing to try. The black birds power increases as the rage chili fills up and he has significantly more hitpoints than the wizard. Let the black bird go last so he has the highest attack points possible unless you are using the blue birds with a rage chili. In that case, let the black bird hit first so he does maximum damage. Hope this helps.
@sarah — Thanks! Your strat worked for me on the first try also! It works much better, considering that the health of the Royal Bodyguard is much higher now. I can’t believe it was only 480 in the video, and it is 3656 now! Talk about a huge difference.

I got 3 stars by using a combination of Pirate hat, Samurai hat, and Cleric. Full attack and use Samurai guard right before attack. Make sure to keep Pirate boost at all times.
Unfortunately, none of the mentioned above strategies worked for me yet I managed to overcome the pig somehow. For those still struggling here’s how I did it. Perhaps you’ll find it useful.
Take Guardian Red, Princess Matilda and Pirate Bomb.
Have all the birds attack the pig.
Just before the fat pig goes frenzy and attacks our birds, use Red’s Aura.
After piggish random attacks, have Matilda heal the bird or the birds which suffered most, it depends. Sometimes it will mean that Matilda will perform no attacks prior to the fat pig’s another berserk mode but that’s ok. Princess heals a great deal more than druid and is also a better hitter too.
As Princess heals, make Red and Bomb attack. Remember to use Red’s Aura before the pig goes nuts. Repeat the pattern over and over again and remember to feed the Chili to Red only.
It will take some time to take the pig down ’cause it heals as it attacks but our attacks combined with Red’s chili strike wear him down more than the pig heals.
I got two stars ’cause in the end I got so tired of this level that I started hitting with Matilda too instead of healing just to finish the pig faster. Hope this helps.

Got three stars with paladin, lightning bird and captain.
Boost paladin with the captain and use lightning bird’s ability so he can hit twice per turn. Before pig goes nuts put protection to lightning bird since he has least health. Use chili for paladin giving close to 1k damage (remember to have boost from the captain). Repeat until piggie lays dead at your feet or…under your feathers.
Awesome combo! This helped me loads and I beat it real quick!
to defeat the royal bodyguard, you can use this combination: guardian, princess and wizard. ( use the wizard if he has more power than other birds)
1) attack continuously with the three
2) before the bodyguard attacks, activate red’s aura of fortitude.
3)heal if necessary
4)use the rage chili on chuck.
If chuck does not have enough power, you can use the pirate. remember to give the rage chili to red and always increase the birds attack power by using pirate.
