Our strategy for Danger Above level 8-15 is to fire the first Yellow bird into the column of TNT at the far right. The resulting damage varies a bit, but the goal is to have a clear shot to the TNT in the bottom-right. If possible, execute this shot with the next Yellow bird. Fire the Boomerang bird head-on into the top-left structure, detonating the TNT within. Of course, higher scores result if you trigger the plethora of TNT in the bottom-left, but that is not an easy task. The score in the video below is 140,270.

Danger Above is easy
I actually found some levels of Danger Above very challenging. Did you struggle with any levels? Would love to hear your strategies.
It seems that Danger Above is easier than Mighty Hoax, But also I found Difficulty
I agree, some of the levels in Mighty Hoax I was stuck on for 2 months! (of course, I didn’t know ABN existed back then)
Easy? Don’t know about that…But, at least 8-15 is a funny level to watch as you keep trying! With all the TNT and trampolines you get entertainment (unlike the bleak landscape of “Ham ‘em High). A little frustrated here, hanging in the 130s, must have killed all the pigs dozens of times, but can’t reach 140K!
And literally seconds after grumbling, squeaks by with the minimum 140 and change!!!
I agree with you. there were at least a dozen levels that had me ready to throw my phone across the room!
I’m still chasing the score addict achievement for this episode … not that easy.
My initial shot detonated the TNT and killed all the pigs but the leftmost 2, but the second bird took care of them. 147150.
This level requires a whole lot of luck to break into the top 200.. I must have played this level in every imaginable way for 3 days now just to try to improve my 233 ranking.. After about 100′s of restarts I must move on. I will leave with a few suggestions first, just to feel like I accomplished something here after so many hours of play..
First off I must start by saying this level isn’t very hard just to 3 star at 140K. In fact it’s pretty easy with 3 birds. The trick is to score high into the 150′s. Pretty tough to do.. You need to complete the level with just 2 birds and explode the large stack of TNT also. that should get you into the 150′s.. To get into the top 100 rankings, you really need a real lucky 1 bird kill. Judging by the scores I guess we have a lot of lucky players here.lol.. I’m giving up with 151,770.. I came close to breaking that mark a few times but always left 1 pig after 2 birds played..
My strategy differs from the video, although the video method will give a better chance of getting the lucky one bird kill shot.. I resigned to the strategy of concentrating on a 2 bird kill.. My 1st Yellow bird arched high and is aimed just below the pig hanging from the yellow balloon.. A well aimed shot will go through wood structure right to the bottom, exploding the TNT and collapsing the structure and killing the 3 pigs in it. The second Yellow bird is aimed at the far right TNT stack, sending the 7 cannon balls flying every which-way “HOPEFULLY” taking out the rest of the pigs and also getting the large stack of TNT in the left corner to explode.. GOOD LUCK, you will need it…
I Lied.. I couldn’t quit here until I improved my score.. I came too close too many times.. I just improved my score and ranking from 233 to 83 using the same method I described above.. 2 birds and some luck.. New high is 154,200.. Good Luck, I’m moving on…

@pjdambra Thank you for posting your strategy. Any strat that gains points is great. Besides that it was just plain fun to do. Two high flings and then watch the action. If the first bird was going to hit the tnt I launch the 2nd without waiting. Either way, waiting or not, did not see much difference in points. All the metal balls flying was just hypnotic.

Thank You @pjdambra, your techique worked perfectly! FIrst bird through te pig hanging from the yellow balloon to get the TNT in the lower right. Sometimes knocking King Pig off his magic carpet in the process. Scores between 65 & 73k depending on the status of King Pig at this point. Second bird to the TNT stack in the upper right to fire the connonballs across to blow both left TNT stores. Destroyed everything 154k!
ps, almost had a one birder with this approach, but the pig immediately to the right of the bottom bouncers survived.
I used the same aim as the video on top, but my first bird blew up the whole right side. second bird at the left tower, 3 birds left and I got 157110.

@E-Star – Once again your video gave me a very good score. It was not quite enough to get me to the top 50 Leaderblard in the Challenge so it’s back to the drawing board for me. Thank you again for being so willing to share your strategy vis-a-vis your videos.

@karen68 Glad I could help and your strategy to switch birds is the same I do also. When one bird is under control and one is not, I will shot the bird that I can’t manage every time. It safes time when repeat is needed a lot ;)

I did it with just the 2 yellow birds with a final score of 152200. I am sorry I do not know how to do a video but what I did was I fired the first yellow bird into the wooden structure into the tnt which did a lot of damage and then fired the second yellow bird into the stack of tnt on the far right which finished off the remaining piggies.
150k + can be done fairly easily. Arc first yellow bird right and then accelerate it through the yellow baloon or the pig hanging from it; it doesn’t seem to make much difference; the bird should continue through the wooden tower and into the TNT at the base next to the glass blocks, destroying most of the tower. Next yellow bird towards the blue and yellow balloons, bouncing it off the purple trampoline into the TNT. A chain reaction should occur destroying the rest of the pigs on the left. It works most of the time, so a few tries should do it, unlike some other methods which rely too much on luck. It won’t get the highest score, as that was probably a one birder, but it will get a decent one.

I think the only way to get a one birder is to use the strat posted by E-Star. I’ve almost done a lot of times but there’s always a pig left somewhere. I see caviar 101 has done it so it is possible.
1. Hit the left tower with yellow bird it will xplode and pop the balloons from king pig,
2.hit the right tower with yellow bird try to reach the dynamite (it works)
3. Schoot green bird backward, little high not to much and activate his power, if your lucky you will hit the bouncy wall and the dynamite.
Okay back when I had this only on my iPhone, I have one birdied this level though it is VERY hard and I have done it two ways. I cannot tell you what my score was as I didn’t know about this site back then and no longer have the game on that device. My current score on the IPAD was done last night in about and hour of trying and used method one.
I also recall seeing a video of the one bird method from then as that is how I fine tuned my own approach.
1st is a flat shot into the left most tower that hits through the dangling pig and at the junction of the wood and stone planks. What happens is the debris collapses down below and takes out the king pig BUT also tumbles into the lower left TNT stack which fires the balls into the base of the right hand structure taking out the legs and collapsing it all.
2nd is as described by the great folks above and what happened is that the stone balls were launched up and out to the left to also hit the left tower and it’s TNT. Basically luck to get all the TNTs to fire and it’s unpredictable.
I find that if you don’t get a one bird , then shooting at the left tower first gives you the best chance at a two bird whereas a right hand approach, if it does not collapse the right side, for sure means you have to use three.
Just my take and YMMV.
I should mention that method one is probably identical end result of @pjdambra ‘s approach but I find it harder for me to hit an arcing shot consistently so I usually get frustrated with trying that way.
I’ll see if I can track down the one bird vid if it still exists. OH and don’t forget that there are older threads on these walkthroughs on this site ( or were). You have to go to the walkthroughs thread and go to the end of the episode. They used to be broken up into several levels per vid. Mods can correct me if I am mistaken of course.

Aimed as shown in the E-star video but with a much more fortunate result (161,790 points and only one bird needed to destroy all the pigs). Even more fortunate was the accompanying explosion of the TNT pile at the lower left, producing substantially more destruction. I have had several one-bird solutions (scores ranging from 150-154K) but this was the only one with the additional TNT explosion. I attribute the outcome (current ranking #2) to persistence and luck. The #1 score, being 7400 points higher than mine, must have been even more lucky.
