In this lesson, we intend to show you some of more advanced tips for using our wise friend, the Mighty Eagle. Since there are sooooo many tricks and strategies, we will be breaking this up into two separate lessons. With that in mind, this lesson is certainly more “basic” than its sequel, but this should be a great starting point for Sardine-wielding flingers!

Great video! Can’t wait for advanced techniques! Are you going to show the old SG 1-?? (the feather badge)?
I believe it was 1-16.
They called the technique the “bowling effect”. Pretty neat method.
yes it was 1-16
very helpful. i have never really reliezed how bouncy the sardine can is
i cant wait for the painful challenging level video
I noticed that effect from the first time I tried the ME on my iPad. I found it rather curious, but it works however it works. Most of the basics you can pick up fairly easily through repetitive uses, but still, the video backs up what you pick up on your own.
I agree @truckdriver. Getting the bounce down is critical if you want to get all your feathers. I learned the hard way (repetition on the job). I wish this video had been available a few months ago. :-)
Yeah, @playdbird, me too. I’m still working on it though, as I’m still way behind, what with my PC and my iPad. I’m catching up, but it’s going to be a long slog.
@truckdriver – Most of them are pretty easily done, and the video’s exist for the hardest ones.
Don’t be shy about going to the forum link about requesting ME’s and asking @amslimfordy to create a video of one that’s stumping you.
I’m sure he’ll do it because if it’s caught you up I’m sure it’s caught up others.
Also, I’ve found the whine factor to help alot. Once you ask for help you’ll get total destruction five minutes later…lol.
I don’t use the whine factor, it never works for me anyhow. My method involves colorful metaphors, and a great deal of banging on things, but it works for me…. :-)
The “whine factor” doesn’t work too well for me either. If it did my scores would certainly be a lot better than they are lol. My ‘colourful metaphors’ haven’t become as bad as they did whilst trying to conquer Rainbow Road on Mario Kart but I can see it happening if I strike a level like that. What I do find helpful, strangely enough, is for someone to be talking to me whilst I’m playing. I must relax/stop trying too hard as that’s how I beat Rainbow Road and how I have achieved some of my better scores on AB.
@chicadee, about the whine factor, ain’t that the truth? :-) My colorful metaphors start at bad, and get worse in a New York Minute when things don’t work the way they are supposed to. But when it all comes together, it’s the greatest thing in the world.
I had a heck of a time trying to master Rainbow Road on the Wii. It was fun though, I would play the race with friends and since they all did just as bad as me, it would be fun trying not to get 12th place! :)
Dittos @playdbird. Bounce, placement, and how much you need to destroy (and even on some levels which things need to be destroyed) before launching ME; those three things are crucial to 100%-ing feather scores.
Awesome video.
Great lesson, as always! Newbies to Mighty Eagle can now practice how to fling in the right way the sardine tins!
awsome job, I learned some things, can’t wait for advanced class!
Very helpful.
Great video! The secrets of the Mighty Eagle will no longer be kept secret! :D
1:28 White bird has another EGG THROWING PLACE!
OMG! So fantastic!
Very helpful, and a great resource for beginers
Great job on the video, Slim! Maybe I’ll work a bit more on getting the rest of the ME feathers I need.
Thanks SpeedySlim for this Lesson. I haven’t used the Mighty Eagle (on purpose) yet. When I say “on purpose”, I have accidently clicked the wrong button on the Facebook levels a couple of times and since I was unable to abort/undo it, I played through with it. The Facebook levels are my only access to the feathers as I play on a PC. Hopefully they’ll become an update sometime in the future.
I had a rough idea how they worked but have learnt a lot from your lesson and will now hopefully not waste too many when I finally return to the Facebook S&T and Golden Eggs levels. I don’t know about other players, but I don’t think I will be replaying Poached Eggs and Mighty Hoax on Facebook. I only replayed what I had to in those two on Facebook, to gain the Eggs.
Your lesson is particularly helpful because once I use up my ME freebies, I have no intention of paying for them. Rovio has acquired enough dollars from this household already!
I was particularly interested to learn from your video that Rovio’s definition of Total Destruction/100 percent does not necessarily mean completely destroying all destructible items. I thought you had to end up with nothing left at all.
Thanks @Slim for the handy tips for the mighty eagle
Anyways, I LOL’d at this pic!
Also, it would be funny to gie donuts instead of likes. :P
Maybe that’s a clue about the future ABSp update??? I hope so.
So the ABFacebook page has a new status about having 20million like (still 19.9 when I last check) and giving some details about the future of AB. Hopefully the news will be about a new update for ABO & ABS. Lately it all been focus on ABWeb games.
Also Anyone have any clue about the opening/location of the “AB Store” in NYC?
I don’t think so about for the NYC store.
But I hope really for:
1. The other two chapters of Surf ‘n’ Turf for ABOriginal!!
2. A new season for ABSeasons.
3. Some new episodes for ABRio, that’s not been updated anymore after the Trophy Room update.
Yeah.
Thanks for taking the time to create these lessons, @amslimfordy. I don’t have the ME yet, still waiting for the tech fairy to cough up an iPod touch :). When I get ready to play these, these videos will be a great help. That sardine can seems to be made of Nerf material, the way it bounces. Thanks again!
Maybe Rovio’s making a new episode for ABSpace?
Could be Rovio’s version of Utopia, maybe just an artwork?
I just expect it a new episode. Mainly, they don’t put game logos on their artworks if I’m not wrong.
They typically include the AB logo on their official artwork (e.g., the image for William/Kate’s wedding). It could go either way, but my guess is Rovio’s official interpretation of Utopia.
Someone at Rovio must be hungry! Pizza and now dessert.
nice video for beginners, but till now there was not much that i hadnt known before! hope this will come with next videos :)
Very helpful video. That sardine can sure is really bouncy!
A great video for us veterans as well! Thanks, Slim.
