Do you remember the first Angry Birds Cheetos game? It launched about a year ago, made me pretty hungry, and then was closed a few weeks later. Well, apparently Rovio enjoys partnering with Chester Cheetah and Cheetos, so Angry Birds Cheetos 2 is now live! To play, head to cheetos.angrybirds.com. But before you do so, there’s some interesting information you should know about.
Foremost, the game is in Russian, which makes it pretty difficult to understand if you aren’t familiar with the language. (Note that the first Cheetos game was in Turkish, so this is a slightly different partnership it seems.) That said, anyone can play so long as you get past the login screen. You can either login with an email address and password, or with a Facebook account. If you login via Facebook, you will be prompted to enter a username after your login info and you need to accept their Terms and Conditions.
For further help, you can also try using Google Chrome as your browser, which has a translate option.
Once within the game….
- Three levels available for free play for everyone. Walkthroughs for the first three levels can be found here. If you have any codes, or have unlocked some “premium” levels, please contact us or send a private message to @amslimfordy, @birdleader, or @sal9. Thanks!
- Six “premium” levels that can be unlocked using credits. Credits are earned by entering codes, most likely found on specially marked Frito-Lay products. It’s possible that such products are only available in Russia and other nearby countries, but we haven’t confirmed this yet.
- Replacing the Mighty Eagle or Power Ups are exploding packages of Cheetos, which can be used to raise your score. Flinging a Cheetos package is free in the free levels, but likely cost credits in the “premium” levels. The package will explode upon impact with any item on-screen, sending out cheesy bits of destruction.
Special thanks to @Dr-Omega for being an amazing sleuth, as always.
