High arc, splitting at the apex so that the top bird slams through the top glass into the tnt in the center. One-birder except it takes many of those “one birds” to blow up the entire structure.

1. Zoom all of the way in.
2. Pull sling so that the straps draw a straight line down into the dimple in the white part of the background in front of the cherry. (into the “butt crack”)
3. Release and split the blues just a hair before the exact apex of the arc.

It’s such a satisfying explosion when it works!

Same strat as the video and @moondoggie for top score, anyone else notice that if the top right pig gets a present placed on him he gets tilted to the left although when I noticed it, it didn’t cause the middle tnt to go off so I played for a while longer waiting to get another present to see if I could get it to ignite the tnt, once I got a present I resetted til the gift was placed on him and if he didn’t explode the tnt I keep resetting and he finally did although it didn’t set off both tnts and my top score didn’t involve it, but would this actually count if someone was to get a no birder top score from it, since you’re not technically using power ups, and can it technically be considered a self exploding level like cake 6-3 does @admins ?Even though level three doesn’t help up scores

@mvnla2, @eddiemazza, following up on Eddie’s observation, both the top right and top left pigs tilt with presents. The top left just tilts for 40-50 points. The top right falls off his perch landing on the ice plank below for 80-140 points. I once had the tiny pig pop for a tad over 5000. After many dozens of flings I never got the TNT to blow, so either I’m very unlucky or Eddie is very lucky.

Three times now I’ve had the ice plank under the TNT break, dropping the TNT further down into the structure for higher score, up to 65K. So far I haven’t managed to get the second TNT to detonate but I’ll keep trying.

And if anyone other than me was wondering if setting off the second TNT first can increase scores, it doesn’t. After futilely trying to get a blue bird to bounce over and dislodge the tomahawk pig, I resorted to Red’s Mighty Feather. I managed to knock stuff off the far right tower and set of the TNT several times, but alas, it’s too far away and does almost no damage.

@eddiemazza @grrtammy — Thanks for the report. This would be categorized as partial self-destruction, and it is totally legit to use it to raise your score if you can.
Does stuff happen only if there is a present, or does it sometimes happen without?
Just did 50 restarts without a single present. : (

Rank: Gold Flinger with 8970 points
By grrtammy (@grrtammy)Score: 93,820

For a present, I completely shut down and restart. That usually does it. As to the tilting, it never happens without a present and always happens with one. I think, in Rovio-math, a pig has significant mass while a present has much less. Thus the attached stuff top left and top right over-balances the presents while the pigs remain stable.

Unfortunately, unless you can set off the TNT, the tilting tends to roll the tiny pig and make it even more difficult to set off the TNT. So it’s a hindrance rather than a help.

Yes, persistence and getting both TNT to explode. I had to go back and look at the level and once I realized which it was I remembered there was a little luck involved also. Stay at it and work on the when you release Blue Birds for maximum impact. Good Luck @captrec

Rank: Gold Flinger with 8970 points
By grrtammy (@grrtammy)Score: 93,820

@steviep147, you have to turn on Power Ups. If you do, you get free PUs every now and then. They show up as little presents randomly in place of pigs. Most of the time it’s just a free PU (I have hundreds since I don’t use PUs) but they have different Rovio physics than real pigs so you sometimes get interesting effects with them.

Rank: Sling God with 35680 points
By Dr O'Neski (@steviep147)Score: 93,330

Thanks very much for the prompt reply @grrtammy. I obviously don’t use PUs. Are some scores for this level a little dodgy then? The 100k high score seems a long way off for me. Exploding both TNTs with the single blue bird usually gets 80k’ish. Goodness knows where my 90k came from but looking at the screen shot there is a little bit of debris left but not much.

Rank: Gold Flinger with 8970 points
By grrtammy (@grrtammy)Score: 93,820

@steviep147, I don’t see why this level would be any more prone to PU abuse than any other. It just happens to have an interesting “present” effect that most other levels don’t. On PUs, not using them doesn’t mean you have to turn them off. Just don’t use ’em. That way you get a little additional fun now and then still without cheating. I use RMF (see above) occasionally to explore different strategies but never record a high score using it.

Back to presents, @mvnla2 has made the case that present scores are legitimate even though that clearly means that you must’ve had PUs turned on.

I’ve lobbied with Rovio to provide a legit score reader that would make it easy to verify and I received a polite “maybe.”

My 93K was definitely an outlier for me, but I had debris left so 100K doesn’t seem unreasonable.

By Dr O'Neski (@steviep147)Score: 93,330

Thanks for that. A real insight. Is it fair to think there are now legitimate strategies and other legitimate strategies? I’ll certainly have a closer look into “presents” and see if I can make a legitimate use of them.

Rank: Sling God with 26030 points
By SweetP (@sweetp)Score: 88,110

@steviep147, I don’t see it that way, since these presents appear in all levels. Thus, this would not be a “back door” for a PU score (or no-birder). PU scores are obtained only if you actually use them.

Too many nested replies above so I’m responding here. @steviep147, I don’t recall ever getting a higher score that was clearly due to a present. Contrary to pigs, you do not have to pop the present to clear a level, but you lose the 5K. So I guess if there’s a level where you can save a bird by not getting the last pig then I suppose it’s possible. And see @eddiemazza above. If the tilting present actually sets off the TNT (never happened for me) AND the second TNT goes off AND you get sufficient damage you could possibly exceed 100K. Really, really unlikely.

And the bottom line is–if a present can make a difference in a level, someone will very probably have mentioned it in the comments.

Come to think of it, I’ve never seen a level generate a present if there’s only one pig. That would be interesting! I don’t think all levels, or even most, generate presents. It’s not a big deal at all for me so I don’t keep track.
