This just in! Rovio just announced a brand new Angry Birds game called, “Agri Birds”. It’s a farming sim that is sort of like The Croods, just a lot angrier. Per Rovio:
Welcome to your new summer job at Agri Birds Farm. Plough the fields, tend to your crops, and trade goods with neighbors and friends to save your farm from being bulldozed by the dastardly bigshot – Mighty Bagel.
Resource management meets visual novel meets point-and-click survival horror meets your face in the latest Angry Birds title from Rovio Entertainment!

Agri Birds is quite different from Rovio’s past Angry Birds games. For starters, the birds have LEGS and most have muscular ARMS. Matilda tots a shotgun while Bomb likes to pump iron. Boomerang bird is perhaps the strangest, as she — yes, she — is some sort of diva who likes dressing up in provocative outfits.
The antagonists are, “Mighty Bagel” and Gale. Mighty Bagel a cross between Boss Hogg and the Mighty Eagle. He wants to wipe out the precious farmland in favor of expanding his own golfing empire. In the video he states:
I’ll bulldoze your pathetic farm and build the greatest golf couse in history! Prepare to … !!”
The story doesn’t stop there, nope, it’s only beginning. This is really a story of, “Love, Loss, and Farming” where you have to “discover the secrets of the farm” and ultimately try to defeat the Mighty Bagel.

OK so here are my questions:
Why is Mighty (Mighty Eagle’s name) the villain?
Why do the birds have arms and legs?
Why is Hal a GIRL?
Why is Matilda portraying a male farmers role?
Why does Stella have gigantic arms?
Why are Stella and Gale together (2nd picture)- wait- If I remember correctly, Gale dies in “To the Bitter End”
Will the Pigs be in the game?
So in the trailer it seems like the game will have tons of little mini games like “Shoot a Mole” and that other one that looks a lot like Five Nights at Freddie’s involving The Blues
I’m in with you guys on this one- I hope it’s a joke and never comes out (It could ruin Rovio!)

You are definitely right, Milton Alm. It WAS fake. I recently checked the video again when April 2nd came, and the description said “April Fools, Flockers! ;)”.
Apparently, Rovio made Agri Birds as an April Fools Joke. I even checked with Rovio Support and they said it was definitely an April Fools Joke.
So there ‘s no need to worry, Angry Birds Fans. Agri Birds is only an April Fools Joke and not an actual game, but I hope you guys look forward to other games like Angry Birds Fight! and Angry Bird:s Under Pigstruction.
Here’s a fun fact, if Agri Birds was real, it would’ve been the first time that an Angry Birds Stella character, Gale, would be in a game involving Red’s Classic Flock, unless you count the New Year 2015 image with Red and Luca.

It’s obvious this is an April Fools joke. Rovio would never release a game that has such a disturbing trailer (okay, yeah, it was hilarious too).
@mighty-red-1 I wouldn’t mind seeing Rovio explore the strategy genre to be honest. A Hay Day – CoC mash up where you build/farm a town and challenge other players with your own custom level (like the original AB) – as you level up and gain experience, you unlock new blocks etc … a farming area + a battle area :)
@sal9 I’ve never played any farming games, nor have I wanted to try one, but an Angry Birds-style farming game would definitely get me hooked.
I, personally, would like Rovio to slow down with releasing games, as I have too much to keep up with daily: Epic, Transformers, GO!, Friends, and Fight!. Under Pigstruction will also make it difficult to keep up once it comes out for Android.
I love clash of clans, but hate farming game. If this game is a mashup, I’d be really glad

I wish this was real. I’d buy this game in a heartbeat. It actually looks like a lot of fun, ecpesially the shooting gallery and the fact there is a shotgun that can be used.

@autobird I would think it’s a joke. I mean even Rovio wouldn’t do something this disturbing. They would never make the birds as weird as they look now as something legit. Plus their known to do big and detailed pranks.
that is a good argument, because rovio also makes family friendly games, ALWAYS, or else they wouldn’t have such great sales without children. the green bird pole dancer is already messed up, and the “five nights at freddy’s” part is DEFINITELY not for little 6 year olds…

Other birds have opposite appearances too. Stella, Gale, the Blues, Chuck, etc. are completely exaggerated!!

Here’s some more: Mighty Eagle is trying to hurt the birds, the Blues have a sociopath dark side, Stella could be gay, and Red hits his own kind.
Anyone here remember the Secret Cow Level in Diablo II?I happened to see the first proof(screenshot of the day,of 2 cows fighting )coming out on April Fool’s Day that year,and it did come out later as a secret level.My guess is that elements from Agri Birds will be featured in later updates to AB,such as new levels and costumes.
BTW I reckon the BBC had not put out an April Fool this year last time I checked.

If this is an April Fool’s Day joke (I vote yes), then I’ll say that it’s the worst ever. And the lamest, since the interface is copying that of Stella. (the buttons, the text panels!). Everything else points to that. If this ain’t a hoax, don’t release it today!! And plus, for the previous games, Rovio never declared worldwide release until the day that it happened. Here, it says that it will come right in summer. This gives solid evidence that it is indeed a hoax.
Arrgh!! Maybe the fact that we were thinking it was a hoax was the whole joke. But I can’t say it’s true…

I was waiting for Rovio to confirm it as an April Fools joke. They have in the past with things like the Skunk Bird for AB Space.

I checked Sasha Lynx on Google. The only thing I could find was some sort of porn live camera girl. So they probably should have checked that name first before people started googling it..

Considering the fact that ‘Sasha Lynx’ has no relation to a bird pun (as that’s what their names are) or pig pun, i’m thinking the name was intentional.

I believe that if this were to be a joke, they had really done a good job in making such a trailer. Those scenes would probably be edited game plays from other games, and surely they would not feature romance in games for such ages. :P
