Dearest Kathy,

How touched I was to get your message this morning. Yes, it’s indeed far too long since I visited the BP. . . Fact is, I sometimes have a problem with depression, and after getting that virus I had a bad bout of it. It’s like being under a heavy black cloud and trying to wade through mud at the same time. In short, one is fit for nothing and even writing to one’s friends seems an insurmountable task. TG for the meds – I’m feeling so much better now, helped also by a lovely weekend with dear friends in Brussels.

So I’ll be back (like the Terminator!) very very soon – definitely for Rat’s birdday. Boy, am I going to have some catching up to do! I’ll have to take it in easy stages.
