Walkthrough video and strategy for Angry Birds Friends on Facebook Rock in Rio Tournament Level 1 Week 70 which began the week of September 16th, 2013. Our non power-up strategy for this level is to simply pop the balloons with the Blue Birds. The falling debris should clear those annoying pigs. The score in the video below is 104,670.

Using this strategy I haven’t been able to better 113770.
I guess I’m not as lucky as many others…
First bird to destroy four balloons above the ROCK. Stone letters fell down and destroyed almost everything from first half. Then second bird to destroy the standing ice tower below IN. Got 105,000 something.

One Bird no PU. Blue Bird High arc. Split on the Way up just before you reach the Top. This Way you can Break all the Ballon. 109k
Gave it a try but I didn’t split “just before reaching the top” but somewhat earlier. Maybe quarter way shy of the top. And got 107, 210 without destroying last two balloons.
I also got a 109K with 1 bird no pu’s but aimed just slightly above the R and split just before the first balloon and it got all the balloons. Just kept trying the split timing.
Used similar first bird as @traneric (see post above). On an iPad:
1) BB, no PU, on high are. Split early so that bottom split-bb breaks the “R” balloon. The other two split-bbs should take out all other balloons bringing everything down and ice towers should all topple into a manageable pile;
2) WM+SS only (no KS. Too strong.) to mop up ice on platform, then roll off to the right taking out any remaining ice.
Got 115k for now with some debris left. Will revisit later.
NOTE: If too much stone debris on the platform, go ahead and use KS, too, along with WM+SS. Ideally, all stone debris should break after it falls. Also, if there’s too much debris that fell off the platform to the left, consider a reset and try again. Save your PUs :)

Full destruction possible for a bit more than 120K. The key to this level is to find a launching point where ALL the rocks and wood dissapear when falling down, so the little birds only have to deal with the remaining ice.
My score is 120,560 (almost total destruction 1 balloon left)

Both are great strats, @dmitri and @joaoryo ! Thanks for sharing your videos. They don’t work on an iPad, however WM is just too strong and blasts right through and off to the without falling into ice. Will try this level, and others like 2, 4, and 6, later on my PC. This week seems to favor PC on those four levels, at least, while iPad may have a distinct advantage on levels 3 and 5, I think. Thanks again! –muK :)

Could have been better.. but the 2 stone blocks from the letter “R” fell to the left and they were all that was left after blues cleanup, well there was also that blue baloon left.
